On Jan 4th while dressing out a nice 8 point
buck (read the story) ESPN/BASS made the
announcement they were "pulling
the plug" on the WBT. This news
was a shock considering we already had a schedule in place, and had spent the
off season securing boat deals and sponsorships.
A huge disappointment?
Yes. Devastating? Not hardly.
After 21 years of following a women's pro tour
I welcomed the time off to do some "fun fishing", grow a garden, take
a real vacation, and spend time with my family.
There is talk of another women's tour in the planning
stages. I look forward to what it might bring. I will post here as things develop.
