Mardi Gras in New Orleans six months after Hurriacane Katrina devasted the area in 2004
LUV'N LOUISANA cont...

Nowhere else will you find people with a stronger love for and commitment to God, family, heritage and preservation of their way of life. Even Hurricane Katrina, with all her destruction, was not enough to stop Mardi Gras in New Orleans, just a scant 6 months later. The parades rolled, King Cakes were baked, beads were thrown and the music played on.

Most here see Louisiana being mostly swampland as a blessing. Without the swamps where would the crawfish come from? Where else can you enjoy some of the country's best fishing, along with breath taking scenery around every bend in the bayou? With Spanish Moss hanging to the water from 100 year old cypress trees and every reptile you could imagine, it really is like a post card picture. You can then take a short trip further south to the Gulf Coast, for some of the best saltwater has to offer.

Getting ready to share some scrumpish crawfish with friends and family.

There are many who travel to Louisiana just for the hunting opportunities. Rather you're after deer, turkey, ducks or alligators-we have a season for it.

Here, we celebrate just about any and everything with friends, food and music. On any given week end there's a festival going on. Be it for shrimp, rice, frogs, the jazz or blues music itself, or strawberries- We'll celebrate it and in a big way.

The fun loving and light approach to life by most of south Louisiana's people, cause some to pause. We natives know something others may not. The really important things in life are serving God, time with your loved ones, sharing good food with old friends and an open mind, with the willingness to welcome new ones. So, come on down when you can, we'll pass a good time.
